I love Gabriel Sivyer.

Translation: "To Thee, all the follies of sin I resign."

I adore Gabe. And his parents are pretty cool too. Cool enough that their two year old sings hymns in the car. My favorite hymn, nonetheless.

Just another fabulous day in St. Augustine. :)

P.S. Learn more about the Sivyers and see lots of great pictures of Gabe and his baby brother Ezra at http://www.sivyerfamily.blogspot.com/

Year 25

So here I go, trying to start a blog. I am not a journaler, as much as I have started and failed to finish, so this is my attempt to record what is going on around me. And in my brain. Maybe having the pressure of people checking will spur me on. Plus, I am positive that I am going to have a pretty crazy year, and I want to record it for posterity.

And also, I took the title from a pretty great quote by Yogi Berra- "When you come to a fork in the road, take it." That is what I am doing! God has put some pretty crazy forks in my road, and I am excited to see where this one takes me.

I want to start with a beautiful show of love in my life- my birthday party! It was a wonderfully lovely gathering of friends in Judith's incredible backyard. (It was so great that I am overflowing with adjectives!) BIG thanks to Judith, Brittany, and Amberly for pulling it all together! As I am preparing to leave St. Augustine, possibly semi-permanently (you can never really leave this place), last night was a reminder of all of the reasons I have loved living here. The cool breeze from the marsh, the delicious and randomly varied foods, and the community that has absolutely transformed my life. I was even serenaded by Gardner! (My pastor has a habit of writing parody songs for people, and I was the recipient of a "Blue Summer", to the tune of "Blue Christmas". Nate got a video, so hopefully I can link to it soon.) Thank you to all who came out, thanks to all who wanted to but couldn't, and thanks to everyone who has made my last 7 years in St. Augustine absolutely glorious.

Blow RaRa!
Gabe shows me how it is done. Which is funny, because he couldn't really do it.

Kisses
But he did have birthday kisses for me! They are the best!

Serenaded
Listening to Gardner's amazing song. And yes, I am wearing a tiara and fake mink. And yes, I did it only because of the threat of bodily harm.

Sarah does mean Princess, you know.
This is so awkward!!!

I love Judith!
Judith!

Roomies!
My lovely roomie Amberly :)

Brittany holds so much of my heart
Brittany holds so much of my heart. I am honored to call her one of my best friends. She and her amazing boys are the thing I will miss most while I am gone. I LOVE HER!
